Abercrombie & Fitch ex-CEO accused of exploiting men for sex
The ex-CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch and his British partner face allegations of exploitation from men recruited for sex events they hosted around the world. A BBC investigation found a highly organised network used a middleman to find young men for the events with Mike Jeffries and Matthew Smith. Eight men told the BBC they attended these events, some of whom alleged they were exploited or abused. Mr Jeffries and Mr Smith did not respond to requests for comment.
The Abercrombie Guys: The Dark Side of Cool | BBC Select
This documentary deals with sexual abuse. Allegations of exploitation and abuse have emerged at one of the biggest fashion brands in the US. Former CEO Mike Jeffries transformed Abercrombie and Fitch from a failing retail chain to a multibillion-dollar empire and the epitome of cool. Now, after months of painstaking investigation, reporter Rianna Croxford speaks to men who say they were recruited into a dark world, created to satisfy the sexual fantasies of Mike Jeffries and his British partner Matthew Smith. Silenced for years by the fear of breaking non-disclosure agreements, these men describe feeling exploited and traumatized by their experience. One high-profile American lawyer has called for prosecutors to investigate. Watch The Abercrombie Guys: The Dark Side of Cool on BBC Select in the US: https://bit.ly/48Og1kc.
The children selling explicit videos on OnlyFans - BBC News
The subscription site OnlyFans is failing to prevent underage users from selling and appearing in explicit videos, a BBC investigation has found. Under-18s have used fake identification to set up accounts, and police say a 14-year-old used a grandmother's passport. The UK's most senior police officer for child protection also says children are being "exploited" on the platform. OnlyFans says its age verification systems go over and above regulatory requirements. The platform has more than a million "creators" who share video clips, photos and messages directly with subscribers for a monthly fee, while OnlyFans takes a 20% share of all payments.
